PORTO SANTO

Porto Santo is the North East island of the Archipelago of Madeira.

It is very dry. I was surprised of how much I liked the minerality of its landscape. I appreciated even more the pine forest, surrounded by rocks shaped by the sand and wind.

I loved to walk in Porto Santo and experiment to catch its mineral beauty.

Terra da Chã has many endemic vegetation. The lichens are some of them. I don't know their names but loved their shapes and colours. Each picture is an ode to biodiversity.

Walking around Pico de Facho and Terra de Chã offered unexpected combinations of rocks and trees, and far sights on the Ocean.

When wind and water become sculptors.
